I just bought one, black vintage slip, what is the best way to wash?

It is quite old and the material is silky / thinnish. Should I hand wash? I have afraid to send to the cleaners …

Hello I own a vintage clothing store and collect vintage lingerie, then I wash this type of slides all the time. They are usually prepared from nylon. Hand wash in Woolite half strength and water (half of what the bottle tells you to use) and hang dry sunlight. Dry cleaning a slip, never. BTW Soap works but leaves a film that can be felt against your skin, how disgusting. save it for the dishes!
