What material should I use for my kimono?

Cotton? Silk? Brocades? I have the models already and I am committed to a seam

It depends on what kind of kimono bundles. If you make a yukata, you should use cotton. If you do otherwise you should probably try kimono silk or polyester. Brocade would a horrible idea – the end kimono fake and cheap looking. Ideally you should also use a roll of Kimono Fabric faith. You can get them from places like Ichiroya, Yamatoku, Ryu and Japan, and sometimes meet at eBay.
